There’s a huge range of ‘technology’ now available to help older people make more of life and live independent lives for longer. In America a recent report found that because technology helped to make older people feel more secure and connected in their own homes the age at which people moved into ’extra care’ facilities had been steadily rising and is now 85, compared with 82 a decade ago.
